How to document interaction designs using Visio and Word

Anders Bjork sent me a link to his article about how to document interaction designs created in Visio. Write your comments in Visio and export the screens and the comments to Word.

Genius! From wireframes to functional specs in record speed! I can't wait.

However, I haven't been able to find the Export ID option shown in your post. Can you help?

Hi Rekekah

You'll find the Export ID thing at the bottom of the article.

I found the Visio document and downloaded it but when it opens in my version of Visio (2003) there is no Export ID tab. Do I need to do something else?

There's this little important sentence right below the download link:

"You must have macro security set to medium in Visio in order to run the export to Word function."

In Visio, go to Tools > Options

I have followed all the instructions but I am still not seeing the "Export ID" option in my main menu. I am wondering if there is a macro that I need to load or possibly and add-on?

I would really like to use this extension to Visio, but at my computer at my company it does not work because of an error in the code. It seems not to notice Word on my computer. Is it because we still use Office 97? Or can it be something else?

Hope you can help me, because I am desperately seeking to convert a Visio page to a picture :)
